In May 1978, a pastor search committee was elected at a congregational meeting.  Serving on this committee was Eileen Murphy, Howard Mudder, Bill Augustine, Judy Lauderback, Ann Chrisinger, and Dennis Davis.

The Reverend Dean W. Agee preached for the congregation on Sunday, June 18, 1978.  He was voted on and called to serve as the new pastor of the Presbyterian Church. He was installed on September 17, 1978.  His family included his wife, Loretta, and their children, Elaine, Vivian, Jeff, and Eddie.

By the first anniversary, the church membership had nearly doubled, and things were going well.  Besides Sunday morning worship in the SDA church building, there was a joint Christian Education program on Wednesdays at St. Andrews Episcopal Church. The Rev. Agee served as pastor until 1982.

After a year and a half of various pulpit supply, the Reverend Dean Knapp was called to serve as pastor.  He began on August 1, 1983, and was installed on the day when the church celebrated its sixth anniversary (November 13, 1983). Rev. Knapp brought with him his wife, Marcia, and their son, Joshua (Click to Continue).
